Man United Round-Up: Hunt for South American striker, Ivorian forward loan move, English midfielder on the radar

Man United enter the race for No.10 Serie A centre-forward

Man United are keeping track of the situation of Lautaro Martinez, who has been identified as a possible replacement for Edinson Cavani.

Argentina international has already become a subject of major speculations this transfer window, in the wake of the Nerazzurri’s financial crisis that has forced the club to sell Achraf Hakimi and, most recently, Romelu Lukaku, who completed a surprise comeback to Chelsea earlier this month.

Tottenham mainly wants Lautaro. The Spurs are even willing to fork out £75m for Martinez, as they consider him to be the perfect replacement for Harry Kane.

But their pursuit of the Argentine centre-forward hinges on the future of Harry Kane himself, with the London club still determined to keep hold of the English striker.

Man United have not been shy in the market at all, having also identified Kylian Mbappe as a possible target in 2022, with the 23-year-old forward now on their radar as well.

Crystal Palace in advanced talks with Man United winger

Crystal Palace have reportedly enquired about Amad Diallo, who is expected to be loaned out by Man United late this transfer window. Crystal Palace are indeed believed to be in the market for a winger this transfer window after choosing to let go of Andros Townsend.

With Wilfried Zaha largely utilised through the middle nowadays, it is clear that signing a forward will be a prudent move for the Eagles, with the Ivorian attacker a viable target.

The Eagles have submitted an enquiry for the African winger, who is eager to play in the Premier League in the coming campaign.

Several other teams are tailing Amad, with the Red Devils yet to take a final call on the winger. For now, it seems like Diallo is racking up quite a lot of interest in him, with the Eagles in the driver’s seat to secure his services.

Man United keep a close eye on Premier League midfielder

Man United could be tempted to make a move for Declan Rice if West Ham United tries to re-sign Jesse Lingard this transfer window, according to a report.

Man United have already secured deals for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane and Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho this transfer window. Man United are appearing to be a force to be reckoned with, notably kick-starting their Premier League season with a thumping 5-1 win against Leeds United.

There is no doubt that the Norwegian coach is looking for an able long-term replacement for Nemanja Matic. And after missing out on Ruben Neves, the Red Devils could be tempted to make a move for Declan Rice.
