Man Utd News Summary: Ronaldo’s transfer update, Pereira set to leave, Lingard won’t leave club

Manchester United have done perfect business in this summer transfer window adding two top-class players, Raphael Varane from Real Madrid and Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may well not add to his squad but several players are expected to leave the team before the end of the summer transfer window that expires on August 31.

2021-22 is set to be a big season for Solskjaer as he seems to have finally make a push for the Premier League title.

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks silence about his future

Following links with his former team Man Utd and their bitter rivals Man City Cristiano Ronaldo has issued a statement and ruled out a move to the Premier League.

The 36-year-old forward is currently focusing on his career at Juventus and responded to rumours linking him with a departure from the club.

In an Instagram post on Monday, Portugues forward wrote: “Anyone who knows me is aware of how focused I am on my work.”

“Less talk and more action, has been my guiding motto since the start of my career. However, in view of everything that’s been said and written recently, I have to set out my position,” stated the Portugal captain.

“More than the disrespect for me as a man and as a player, the frivolous way that my future is covered in the media is disrespectful to all the clubs involved in these rumours, as well as to their players and staff.”

Andreas Pereira is on the verge to make Flamengo move

Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira is reportedly in talks to make a return to Brazilian club Flamengo on loan.

Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte report both teams are ‘optimistic’ to get the deal done.

It has previously been claimed that the 20-times English champions would prefer to sell Andreas Pereira permanently, however, the 25-year-looks set to head out on his fourth loan away from the Red Devils.

Man Utd made a decision about Jesse Lingard’s future

The Daily Mail claim that the 20-times English champions have no intention of letting Jesse Lingard to depart from the club.

The 28-year-old midfielder had a fine loan spell with West Ham from February until May in which he found back of the net nine times in the 16 Premier League appearances and Solskjaer claims the midfielder is part of his plans.

However, rumours have persisted, suggesting that the England international could still make a move before Deadline Day.

The report claims that the Red Devils value Lingard at £25m.
