Man United Round-Up: English centre-back on Fulham radar, PSG in talks with French midfielder, West Ham leading race for English forward

Fulham interested in signing Man United centre-back

Man United centre-back Phil Jones has reportedly emerged as a target for Championship club Fulham late in the summer transfer window.

With the Red Devils signing Raphael Varane already this summer, England international has fallen further down the pecking order at Old Trafford, with little prospects of regular first-team football even though the defender has now returned to fitness.

Now, Jones could be offered a way out of Man United, with the Cottagers said to be keen on signing him up. The report adds that several other Championship clubs are keen on landing Phil apart from the London club.

However, it is claimed that any move would only be a loan stint with Man United paying the major share of his wages. There have also been reports claiming that the Red Devils may end up keeping the Englishman in the squad as the fifth-choice defender.

PSG renewed interest in Man United midfielder

PSG are reportedly considering a late move this transfer window for Man United star Paul Pogba. In recent times, there have even been suggestions that the Parisians could offer France international a €600,000-a-week contract, according to a report.

And it now looks like the Ligue 1 giants might be set to make their move for the 28-year-old midfielder, with the Red Devils likely to be approached if Kylian Mbappe is sold. Kylian has been strongly linked with Real Madrid, who have had a big-money offer being knocked back by the Parisians.

If Pogba ends up leaving, the Parisians will have more than enough funds to make their move for the French midfielder, although it stays to be seen if the Red Devils allow him to leave this late in the transfer window.

West Ham United leading race to sign Man United forward

Jesse Lingard is “increasingly likely” to join West Ham from Man United this transfer window. The continued interest from the Hammers is understandable despite their top-class start to the campaign.

Indeed, Antonio could do with more support in the final third, even though Benrahma appears to be finally settling in at West Ham United, which is where someone like England international comes into the picture.

However, with Lingard’s valuation proving to be a stumbling block, the Irons have had to keep their options open, with Jonathan Bamba and Nikola Vlasic emerging on their radar as options.

But it has now emerged that Jesse could well be on his way to West Ham United after all, with an exit from Man United “increasingly likely”.
