United vs Spurs : The fight for fourth position

Manchester United hosts Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester United suffered one of the heaviest defeats in Premier League history to Tottenham Hotspur when the latter beat the Red Devils 6-1. The struggling Manchester United manager hired a new squad that helped his team win in the previous fixture of the Premier League with a 3-0 away win over Tottenham Hotspur. Two clubs with similar goals continue in the second half of the English Premier League season. The English Premier League meeting will take place on Saturday, with Tottenham Hotspur looking to return to the top four when they play United. United will also look to do the same as they could not grab points from their previous match against their local rivals when they visited the Etihad. It was City who dominated the scoreline and the game as well 4-1. It was Sancho who scored the only goal for the Red Devils at the Etihad.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are currently battling for a place in the upcoming UEFA Champions League alongside Arsenal and West Ham United. Manchester United has averaged 1.71 points per game at home this Premier League season, and Tottenham Hotspur has averaged 1.54 points per game away.

Tottenham’s top-four rivals produced very little in their last game. United showed an excellent display of football in the first half of the game against City. United’s players were pressing on City players and were looking to create chances. With the teenager Elanga leading the line, United looked to make a difference in the Derby. This loss meant that the local rivals successfully did the double over them. Kevin De Bruyne (5, 28) and Riyad Mahrez (68, 91) scored for Manchester City. The home of Manchester United has become a theatre of nightmares for Rangnick and company. After Manchester United saw their local rivals take the lead early in the match, it was their turn to create some chances and equalise the scoreline. Sancho then scored a beautiful goal by cutting in the box with Walker in front of him, who was distracted by Bruno by his attacking run in the box; this gave Sancho a little space to open up and score the goal; Ederson was beaten at the far post. Though United have slipped from the fourth spot in the table, the race for the final Champions League spot is becoming more intense. With more than three teams going head to head for one place, it will be exciting to see who gets it.

United vs Spurs will be an excellent watch for the neutrals as Spurs are slowly getting into the rhythm under their new manager Conte. Spurs beat Everton 5-0 in their previous Premier League game. Harry Kane scored two goals, which will prepare him before this match. As the race for the fourth spot heats United with the GOAT, CR7 will look to finish the season positively. Can United do a double over Conte’s men?
