UNITED MAKE SKRINIAR BID?

Manchester United have reportedly made a bid for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar. A bid worth 57m was reportedly put in by United for the 23-year-old defender who is highly rated as one of the best young defenders in Europe. United are looking to add another defender to the team and have already looked into signing both Toby Alderweireld and Kalidou Koulibaly. Skriniar moved to Inter last summer for a 20m fee and has been a revelation in the heart of the Inter defence.

REST FIRST THEN DECISION

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has dominated much of the paper talk this summer and looks set to make a big money move to either Real Madrid, Juventus or Manchester United. Savic, whose World Cup ended after a defeat to Brazil revealed that he will make a decision on his future only after recuperating after a long season for Lazio and then Serbia. Savic was quoted as saying, “I read something different in the papers every day, but I haven’t thought about it yet. First I’ll rest for a bit, then we’ll see.” Lazio have a put a price tag of 100m on the Serbian.

FRED AND MATIC GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER

Fred, who is yet to make his World Cup bow for Brazil exchanged jerseys with newly minted teammate Nemanja Matic at the end of the Brazil-Serbia game at the World Cup. Matic played the entire game as Brazil won 2-0 and secured progression to the next round. Fred and Matic are likely to start in a midfield three alongside Paul Pogba next season and it is great to see the two already getting to know each other, albeit it was a paltry few minutes.

ANOTHER CENTER BACK LINED UP

Manchester United are reportedly looking at making a move for Leonardo Bonucci this summer with AC Milan having to sell their prized assets after falling foul of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules. Bonnuci was one of the players signed by Milan in an attempt to get right back to the top of the Serie A but they only finished sixth and now face expulsion from European competition. United may make a move for the veteran defender with Milan being forced to sell their assets.

YOUNG GUNS ON TOUR?

Manchester United are reportedly set to take Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes and Matej Cover to the United States for the upcoming preseason tour. United will be without a number of their stars like Lukaku, Pogba and De Gea who will be given extended breaks depending on the progress their countries make at the World Cup. The trio are set to be taken on the recommendation of Academy Coach Kieran McKenna who is set to join Mourinho’s backroom staff.
