The Press Association revealed that Manchester United player Marouane Fellaini is set to depart the club at the end of this month. United’s final offer of £140k a week was not good enough for Fellaini and the Belgian is set to depart Old Trafford. The PA also revealed that an unnamed top 6 side has an interest in Fellaini. Arsenal was reportedly set for talks with Fellaini’s agent earlier this month. Fellaini is currently on International Duty and his future is likely to be up in the air until after Belgium’s participation in the World Cup.

If reports are to be believed, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are not on the same page when it comes to the price for the transfer of Toby Alderweireld. United’s bid for £55m was sent back by Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy and talks have reached a standstill. United have already taken Anthony Martial out of the equation and consider him unsellable. Levy reportedly wants a fee closer to what Liverpool shelled out for Virgil Van Dijk in January.

Manchester United-bound Fred went down with an injury in training for Brazil after a strong challenge from Casemiro. The newly minted United player was photographed with ice on his right ankle and sat out the rest of the training session. It was not revealed as to how much Fred would miss but his Brazil teammate Marcelo eased both United and Brazil fans’ fears about the 25-year-old. Marcelo said, ”This is the World Cup. Everybody’s training hard, working hard and there are these moments in training. But I believe it’s not that serious, I believe it’s not a big problem for us and I think he’ll be back with us as soon as possible.”

Jose Mourinho is still working despite it being close to three weeks since the close of the season. After being photographed in the stands for the friendly between Russia and Austria on a scouting mission, the gaffer was at it again only this time he was in attendance at a Romania game. It has now emerged that Mourinho was looking at promising Romania youngster Dennis Man. The same was confirmed by Man’s club president Gigi Becali. The Steaua Bucharest player rose to prominence last season. Becali also said, ”Manchester United asked me about Dennis Man and I want €30million. I know that they won’t pay this amount, but the player isn’t for sale.”
