UNITED AGREE SAVIC FEE?
United seem to be making their moves in the transfer window already as after the reports suggesting that a deal for Sandro was completed has been followed by those suggesting that a fee was agreed with Savic. Contractual terms are supposed to be discussed in the coming days and the player could be announced and unveiled even before the start of the World Cup next month. The fee is expected to be in the region of €90m. Nemanja Matic is rumoured to have played a part in pitching the United deal to his fellow countryman.
TEAM NEWS AHEAD OF CHELSEA
Jose Mourinho in his press conference confirmed that David De Gea will be a starter in the FA Cup Final ahead of Romero who has been the keeper in the club’s run to the Final when fit. Mourinho also confirmed that Michael Carrick will not play a part in the game later today. The boss also confirmed that Anthony Martial has recovered from the knock he suffered last week in training and is in contention for a start and that Lukaku’s involvement is dependent on a last minute fitness test. Mourinho is expected to go with a midfield three of Matic, Herrera and Pogba.

Paul Pogba comments about whether he was a Frenchman or a Mancunian would have warmed the hearts of all United fans. “I am French but I would like to say I am international. I am not only French. There was huge praise for Pogba from the Blue side of London ahead of the showpiece final later tonight. Chelsea legend Lampard said,” Pogba is more naturally talented than I was, he would run all over me and has better feet. But there is no point dribbling in your own half. He should be getting 15 goals a season and dominating games because he has everything.”
GIGGS’ TAKE ON THE SEASON
Ryan Giggs gave his verdict on what has been at times, an overanalyzed season for United. The former Red said, “Coming second in the Premier League and winning the FA Cup is a successful season.” The Welshman also gave his thoughts on the Final and said,” I think it is a 50/50 game because these are two teams with special players who can win it for them in a moment. It will be won and lost with the special players.”
