After months of speculation regarding the future of Anthony Martial, it seems that Manchester United and the player are at the negotiating table. The MEN reported that United are deaf against the idea of Martial leaving despite what has been said in the press. Juventus reportedly touted the idea of Martial going to Turin but the idea was swiftly put down by United.


Matteo Darmian is very close to completing a move back to Turin.  A fee was reportedly agreed between United and Juventus at a fee of about £12m. Darmian was photographed in Italy yesterday and is set to undergo a medical later today in Turin. If all goes well, as is expected, it will bring an end to a three-year stay at United for Matteo Darmian.


Diogo Dalot is set to undergo a medical at Manchester United in the coming week as a fee was close to being agreed between United and Portuguese Champions Porto. The 19-year-old is set to provide competition to Antonio Valencia and there is hope that he will take over from the de facto Captain as the season progresses. Dalot has a release clause of £20m and United have triggered that as per reliable reports in Portugal.


Manchester United will have no problem in meeting the high wage demands of Spurs’ Toby Alderweireld as per a source close to a club. The source was quoted as saying,” The manager considers the player to be one of the best in the world for his position. The club know that there could be a huge bargain to be had. He is an unbelievable talent for the money. His wages are certainly not a problem for United.” There are suggestions that United will launch a £50m bid for the Belgian later this week. The club hope to finalise the transfer before the World Club.


Mourinho was in the stands as Russia took on Austria in the latest set of International friendlies. The gaffer was reportedly there to watch Austria’s Marko Arnautovic and Russia’s Aleksandr Golovin and Fëdor Smolov. The three are being looked at as Manchester United look to boost their options on the bench. Mario Mandzukic is another player being looked at and Juventus have reportedly given the player permission to talk to interested clubs.


While there were hopes that Gareth Bale would join Manchester United this summer after growing frustrated at a lack of chances under Zinedine Zidane this season. But with the departure of the Madrid coach yesterday, Bale is expected to stay and fight for his place at Real in the coming season, dashing United’s hopes of signing the Champions League Final’s Man of the Match.
