Man United ended up signing long-term target Jadon Sancho for £73m, their second addition was Raphael Varane, who was unveiled to the Old Trafford before the clash with Leeds United.
Solskjaer is satisfied by Man Utd new signings
Having already spent £115m on Sancho and Varane, Man Utd fans are still expecting to see new faces arriving at Old Trafford,
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did very little to clarify whether that would be the case during his post-match media duties after the win over Leeds.
When pressed on whether the Red Devils could still be active in the transfer market before it shuts, Solskjaer said: “I think anything from now is a bonus. I can’t say we got to do more, but you know, you never know in football.
“We have done well in the summer [transfer] window, Raphael has come in today as well, which I think gave the crowd a boost and to the players, so you are excited of course. And there are eight or nine players there that are not here today.”
The 20-times English champions have long been touted with a move for Declan Rice and Saul Niguez.

Varane’s transfer questioned by former Liverpool defender
Almost every Man Utd fan is excited to see Harry Maguire and new signing Raphael Varane at the heart of the Red Devils defence.
However, Liverpool hero Mark Lawrenson stays unconvinced by the former Real Madrid star.
He told LFC TV : I’m not sure he is [a fantastic signing].
“Have you seen how many games he’s played in the last five seasons at Real Madrid?”
The Frenchman has missed several games of the last season due to injuries.
