Man United Round-Up: Serbian striker on the radar, Hunt for French midfielder, In bidding war for La Liga defender, In talks with Italian midfielder

Man United renewed interest in La Liga centre-forward

Man United are reportedly pondering over a possible late move for Luka Jovic, who could leave Real Madrid this transfer window. The Norwegian manager is considering Serbia international as a possible late signing this transfer window.

As far as Luka’s prospects at Los Blancos go, they are unlikely to improve amid their links with several centre-forwards, young and old, including Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski.

What now stays to be seen is if the Red Devils firm up their interest in Jovic by launching the offensive for him ahead of the end of this summer transfer window. For now, the Serbian striker’s situation at Real Madrid is as precarious as it has ever been, with a summer exit likely.

Man United enter the race to sign Bundesliga midfielder

Man United’s summer activity is not yet finished, it looks, despite bagging the services of Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane during the end of last month.

It is clear that the Norwegian manager is interested in someone who can serve as an alternative to the likes of Fred, Pogba and McTominay. Corentin Tolisso fits the bill perfectly due to his versatility in the midfield.

France international’s offensive prowess and creativity should also appeal to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has hugely improved the Red Devils’ chance-creation since taking over. The 27-year-old midfielder, though, will largely be expected to tend to his duties in central midfield.

Man United in the hunt for England international

As things stand, the current offer is at £20m by Man United, while Atletico Madrid are expecting at least £34m for Kieran Trippier.

Arsenal can now seize the situation by bidding more than the Red Devils, which provides them with an added advantage in their pursuit for England international. Kieran has played 53 games at Los Colchoneros, in which the defender has racked up 11 assists.

Trippier is a traditional overlapping right-back with brilliant set-piece prowess and has got a wicked delivery.

The 30-year-old defender is equally comfortable playing as a wing-back in a back-five or on the left/right side of a back-line, which we saw in this year’s Euro 2020 where the English right-back was deployed mostly as a right wing-back by Gareth Southgate.

Man United keep a close eye on creative Serie A midfielder

Man United and Liverpool are both reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan star Nicolo Barella as both teams look to strengthen their midfield. Premier League giants are in a precarious situation with regard to the future of playmaker Paul Pogba.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s desire to sign a midfielder has been obvious, and Barella’s versatility can certainly come in handy, according to a report. Amid the speculations, it is widely expected that Nicolo signs a new deal with the Nerazzurri and stays put.

While Inter Milan’s financial situation forced them into cashing in on Achraf Hakimi, Serie A giants are likely to knock back any offers for Italy international this transfer window.
