Man United Round-Up: €50m bid for striker rejected, African forward loan move, French midfielder’s contract situation

Man United reject €50m bid for French centre-forward

Man United have reportedly rebuffed a £50m offer from Inter Milan for misfiring centre-forward Anthony Martial.

With Edinson Cavani yet to come back to training and Marcus Rashford sidelined for a while after undergoing surgery on his shoulder, the Red Devils are lacking depth in the striker position as things stand.

So, France international, in all likelihood, could be in line to feature when Man United kick off the campaign with Leeds United on the weekend. So, it makes sense that the Red Devils would reject Nerazzurri’s approach for Anthony.

However, while the Red Devils have shown yet another vote of confidence in the French striker, Martial will need to repay the faith with displays on the field. Another bad campaign and those at the Theatre of Dreams might not be as generous again next summer.

Man United ready to listen to offers for African attacker

Man United forward Amad Diallo is ready to leave the Theatre of Dreams on loan this transfer window, according to 90min, with the youngster not expected to get much playing time if he stays at the club.

Ivory Coast international arrived in a big-money deal from Atalanta last winter and went on to play eight games, often impressing with his lively cameos and notably scoring with Milan in the Europa League.

But competition for places in the Red Devils’ front-line has increased hugely this transfer window after Man United finally agreed to a £72m deal for Jadon Sancho.

With the likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Daniel James and Mason Greenwood also in a stacked team, and Jesse Lingard having been reintegrated, Diallo will get even fewer chances than last campaign.

Man United want to keep French midfielder amid several offers

Man United will not pursue moves for Eduardo Camavinga, Saul Niguez or Ruben Neves this transfer window, with Paul Pogba now likely to stay at the Old Trafford this campaign.

France international is in the final year of his deal at the Theatre of Dreams with the footballer’s agent Mino Raiola holding negotiations with PSG over a potential move this month.

Lionel Messi’s arrival in PSG, however, has effectively ruled out that move. While Paul has turned down a new deal offer from the Red Devils, the midfielder maintains an impressive relationship with the Norwegian manager and is relaxed about his situation at Man United.

While the 28-year-old midfielder could sign a pre-contract deal with a club outside England in the winter, it is unlikely the World Cup winner will be sold this campaign.
