Manchester United and Chelsea will do battle on Saturday afternoon as the pair go up against each other at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will have been buoyed by their mid-week UEFA Champions League win, in which they were able to start their campaign with an impressive victory against Paris Saint-Germain.

The match-up is vital in the pursuit for a finish in the top four this season, although both will want to see improvements being made on the pitch. This game certainly has all the ingredients to attract a variety of bettors and many of them will be able to benefit by using the best bonus list available to them.

The Red Devils currently have history on their side in this particular fixture, having won the last two matches to have been played at the Theatre of Dreams, and will be looking to make three wins for the first time since 1965.

On the up

Manchester United suffered that humiliating 6-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at home the last time they played at Old Trafford but things have since improved following the international break. The Red Devils have since recorded two victories from two games; a 4-1 away win against Newcastle United and the aforementioned 2-1 win against PSG in Paris on Tuesday night.

Whilst the Blues will be no pushovers, the west London outfit have been anything but consistent. Despite being hugely threatening in the final third, they have been incredibly inconsistent at the back and their weaknesses will be something United will look to exploit.

Expect the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and also possibly Edison Cavani – if he makes his debut for the club since his deadline day move – to try and make the most of Frank Lampard’s fragile defence.

Goals to be expected

As mentioned, both defences appear to be rather leaky this season and there will be plenty of opportunities for the forward lines of each side to find the back of the net.

Manchester United have managed to tighten things up in recent games, having conceded just one goal a game since that humiliating defeat to Spurs. The back-three of Victor Lindelof, Axel Tuanzebe and Luke Shaw were hugely impressive against PSG, though, so it might not be odd to see these three start again, although Harry Maguire could be back in contention for the game.
