Who is Donny van de Beek?
Netherlands playmaker Donny van de Beek was born on the 18th of April 1997 in Nijkerkerveen, he currently plays for Premier League giants Manchester United.
In 2008 he has He joined the Ajax youth academy and made a debut for the club’s senior team in 2015 against Celtic in Europe League clash Van de Beek was part of the team that reached the Europa League final in 2017 that lost to his current club Manchester United.
He is a creative midfielder with fine ball control, accurate/decisive passes and likes to make dangerous cuts into the opposition area.
Van de Beek was listed among the 30-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or nominees. With Dutch giants, Ajax, he has managed to win the Eredivisie trophy, KNVB Cup and Johan Cruyff Shield.
On 30 August 2020, Ajax reached an agreement with Man Utd to transfer the Netherlands international playmaker, The transfer was finalised three days later, with Van de Beek made a switch for £35 million. Van de Beek had little involvement during his first campaign at Old Trafford, starting only four Premier League games. His debut for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side was against Aston Villa on 12 September in a friendly game, before making his competitive debut against Crystal Palace on 19 September.

Teams like Real Madrid, PSG, Arsenal and Dortmund all have expressed interest to lure Donny van de Beek away from Old Trafford ahead of the 2021/22 season, however, it seems unlikely to see him departing from the 20-times English champions this summer.

On 11 September 2013, Man Utd midfielder has made his debut for the Netherlands U-17 side against Germany. He was part of the team that managed to reach the final of the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. However, they have ended as a runner-up.
On 14 November 2017, former Ajax playmaker has made his senior international debut against Romania in a friendly game.
On 8 June 2021, Van De Beek was forced to withdraw from the Netherlands’ team for the Euro 2020 season just days before the tournament got underway he left the training due to the injury and he missed the whole torunament.
